Pulmonary Fibrosis Treatment with Salt Therapy

How Salt Therapy can help Pulmonary Fibrosis

Salt Therapy is a natural non invasive, drug free therapy that offers relief for pulmonary fibrosis sufferers. The inhalation of dry microscopic particles of salt that are breathed in whilst sitting and relaxing in our specially designed salt room assist the respiratory system to reduce inflammation, open the airways and clear excess congestion and mucus. The naturally found anti-histamine and anti-inflammatory properties of salt help to relieve inflammation in the airways and loosen mucus. The natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties help remove any pollutants or allergens that we are constantly breathing in from our environment, which can cause irritation in the lungs and a persistent cough.

Salt Therapy works well as a preventative treatment as we are constantly breathing in pollutants and allergens which can irritate the lungs with Cystic Fibrosis. When our lungs are weakened, it can have a significant effect on our health. The smallest cold can result in weeks of sickness. Breathing in salt as part of your ongoing maintenance can help the body to heal faster and remove irritants fast.  Salt Therapy is not a cure; it is a support for your lungs to help open and relieve inflammation and congestion throughout your airways.

Recommended Treatment

Frequency is the key to your Salt Therapy success with pulmonary fibrosis.

The best Salt Therapy results for Pulmonary Fibrosis are achieved by including it as part of your lung maintenance program. Depending on the severity of your CF and the other treatments that you are working with, once a week is often a good maintenance for most people. If you catch a cold or feel run down, add in a couple of extra treatments to help keep your lungs as clear as possible from infection. As your body responds to the treatment, you will find the salt will last longer in your body. This will vary from person to person. Our salt therapist works with you one on one to devise a program that will suit you best and check in with you regularly to ensure we are providing the best supportive care.

The best value is our unlimited monthly pass when attending twice or more times per week.
